Ally has been transfered to room #716 today! I'm told it's outfitted with a recliner as well as a second bed next to Ally. I'm also told it's got a fabulous view! Ally is officially the MVP of the 7th Floor! Thanks, nurse Les! Your pink tie is outstanding!!!
Here are some visiting and giving guidelines: please honor them!
First, Ally is still in intense recovery. She, herself, has asked to keep visitation to a minimum. NO VISITS TODAY beyond what she's already asked for. Beyond today, please feel free to check in with Spike. I'm happy to forward requests also. Spike is managing a lot: coordinating continuity of information between doctors, nurses and Ally; creating a healing environment for Ally's continuing recovery; planning/organizing nursing and care for Ally's return home...
I know everyone understands and all have been SUPER patient. Thank you!
Second, PLEASE DO NOT SEND GIFTS! No flowers, balloons or stuffed animals. Ally doesn't really like them and you'll just create another job for Spike. Let's put those good intentions to good use! DONATE TO BREAST CANCER ACTION in Ally's name.
